I love a good Manhattan and Mr. Hedin is an expert at making the perfect Manhattan. In honor of his birthday, a little whiskey for all of us.

Mr. Hedin's Manhattan
2 parts whiskey (Mr. Hedin chooses Jack Daniels)
1/2 part sweet vermouth
4 drops bitters
maraschino cherry
Pour whiskey, vermouth, and bitters into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry.
