The A-List

We're recipe testing right now - Kirstin just made this Wild Mushroom Risotto.  The recipe will be online soon!  And on TV November 11th on KIRO.

COOK

I got the coolest book recently, Gifts Cooks Love, from Sur laTable.  It's filled with great ideas and recipes for preserving, pickling, and generally preserving the harbest - and all in fabulous packaging for giving.  The author, Diane Morgan, will be hosting a gift making workshop next week on October 19th at Dish it Up in Ballard.  For more info go to the Dish it Up website.

Picasso is in town.  I get to see it on Sunday (super excited) but here's a great way for you to see it - head to the Seattle Art Museum Family Festival this Saturday from 10am-3pm.  There is going to be art making, kid tours, live performances, and the oppertunity to see Picasso in person!  Go RSVP now here.

The Huskies play again!  Cross your fingers and wear purple to root on the dawgs as they attempt to beat Oregon State.    The game is another 7:15pm start, so plan your tailgate around dinner and wear a scarf.
