Good Morning

Good morning!  I hope you had a lovely Easter.  We certainly did.  We woke up at the crack of dawn and went to a sunrise church service on the beach.  It was beautiful to see the sun come up over the water.  I have been awake that early (jet lag is a doozy on a one year old) but not paying attention to the sunrise. Mostly focused on how much coffee goes in the french press.

Then we came home and had a nice breakfast, a little beach walk, and dyed eggs.  Last year I learned that grape Kool-Aid makes the coolest brown/grey egg color.  It's a great modern color and I totally dig it.  For what ever reason, there was a run on grape at the local grocery store and my option for that shade was the fizzy tablets of Kool-Aid.  Who knew you had to find a tricky way to get your kids to drink Kool-Aid??  It's sugar water for pete's sake!  Anyway...  the fizzy tablets may actually make cooler eggs.  If you put the egg in before it's entirely dissolved (as I did) you end up with this speckled egg that's both a fabulous modern shade of grey/ brown but also the perfect shade of turquoise.  I only got one egg to do it perfectly.  Then the rest of the Kool-Aid tabs were used for an actual beverage by the three year old.  Gross.

This is the stuff, in case you need it.

The rest of the week and weekend has been an adventure too and I can't wait to post about it.  The pool and the beach have just been so much more tempting than sitting at the computer...  Soon, I promise!
