Easter :: Gilded Lily Cocktail

What's a party with out a cocktail?  Even Easter deserves something fun and festive.  Cheers!

Homemade Bagels with herb butter and smoked salmon
Rabbit Meringue with Lemon Curd and Kiwi

Gilded Lily Cocktail



Gilded Lily Cocktail

1 ounce Lillet
1 ounce Gin
2 ounces Orange Juice
1 tablespoon superfine sugar
1/2 teaspoon edible gold dust
Ice

Mix together sugar and gold dust on a flat plate.  Run a slice of orange around the rim of a martini glass and dip into the sugar mixture.  

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice combine Lillet, gin, and juice.  Shake twenty-one times until well mixed.  Strain into prepared martini glass and enjoy immediatly.
