The A-List :: Meet Laura Werlin



Laura Werlin is coming to town!  Hooray!  If that means nothing to you, it's because you just don't recognize the name.  Laura Werlin is a James Beard Award nominated cheese expert with a new book out featuring grilled cheese.

She's in Portland right now and headed to Seattle this weekend.  Below are her locations and appearances so you can be sure to catch her. 

April 11th, 2011, New Day Northwest, KING 5 TV, Seattle, 11am - noonI'll be talking grilled cheese and grilling up sandwiches for the hosts and the entire audience of this great local television show. Stop by this world-famous all-in-one cheese shop (you can see the cheese being made through their street-front window!), get some of their world-famous Mac 'n' Cheese AND, of course, one of their delectable grilled cheese sandwiches, and come say hi to me. I'll be there signing Grilled Cheese, Please! but mostly taking in the sights and smells of this bustling place that serves as an homage to all thing cheese.

Few places make me happier than Beecher's Handmade Cheese, so to do a grilled cheese and wine pairing class there puts me over the moon. While the class itself won't be in the same place as where they make and sell their Beecher's Flagship Cheese or their world famous Beecher's Mac 'n' Cheese (that's right down the street) I promise we'll have a cheesy evening anyway.
