House Projects :: Basement Demo + Laundry room

There was a laundry room in the basement.  It was the only 'finished' part of the basement.  But I use the term 'room' loosely as it was a space with wall boards and a floor but really, not much else.

The good news has been that the washer and dryer work perfectly fine (although I'm convinced the washer is putting holes in our clothes) and the space has been functioning.  Which is good because we have so much laundry I couldn't even get it up off the floor for a picture.  We're going to call it realism.

The revised space is going to be much more functional with a new washer and dryer - under counter models so we can put a counter on top like in the old house - and crafting space!  An actual crafting counter + a sewing area where my machine can be out full time + a table that will fold down from the wall Murphy bed style so I have loads of space for big projects.  It's going to be lovely.  And there's another window in this space (just like the boy's room) so we'll have plenty of natural light.
