House Projects :: A weekend full of projects

This weekend we did a ton of things around the house.  It feels so good to be making such amazing progress.  Even if it seems we are sacrificing Mr. Hedin's back in the process.  We remodeled our last house all by ourselves, but that was ten years ago.  Ten years makes a big difference on our bodies.  It doesn't help that - at nine months pregnant - I am no help at all.

Nasty carpet gave way to ...

...ugly, but cleanable floors.

Sixteen overgrown and bug filled cedar trees gave way to...

...a view!  You can't tell so much here, but it's lovely now.  And bright.  And bug-less.  The morning after these came down they were laying in the drive way absolutely COVERED in spider webs.  The spiders who had been making their home in the trees all came out for one last hurrah.  If you could get past the fact that they were spider webs, there was a lovely sparkly quality to them.

I have a feeling this is our last weekend of really great projects since we are only EIGHT days away from my due date!  EEK!
