Good Morning!
Our new house closes this week! Are you as excited as I am? We are ready to start moving in and getting the kids settled. We moved out of our "old house" over the weekend to make sure it's perfectly clean and tidy when people come through. When the kids and I are there it's the furthest thing from perfectly tidy. I'm usually baking or making something and the kids have a knack for making the place a disaster in mere moments.
The house closes on Friday - so I'll share pictures with you then. You'll see the mountain of projects that lie ahead. Mr. Hedin and I are excited to dig into them and make the house our own. It's what we did at the old house and what we are most excited about with the new house. In the mean time, here are some other exciting things happening this Friday ::
:: Mrs. Lilien's Spring Shoppe opens. If it's as fabulous as the last two - budget in some "gifts" for this month!
:: It's April Fool's Day which means Martha is in full effect. I have never loved this holiday - it just seemed ridiculous - but our friend Martha seems to love it.
:: The Cherry Blossom and Japanese Festival opens at Seattle Center and runs through Sunday. It includes food, traditional tea ceremony demonstrations, and ikebana.
:: By Friday I will have figured out how to make these cookies. They sound fabulous. And since I have been working on meringue to no end, this is the perfect extension.
:: And finally, since my office is the biggest disaster ever, this line up from Anthology at least reassured me that everyone's desk is a mess. Especially if you are trying to "create."
