I have been having a 'Kate Spade' moment for the last few months. It all started in November when Mr. Hedin and I were walking down El Paseo in Palm Desert and I popped in the store. I mostly popped in because I'm pretty bored with the shops on El Paseo. There isn't really anything that we don't have at University Village - except Kate Spade. So I went in.
Holy moly. I was blown away. I know about the bags. I was obsessed at 18 when the iconic label launched and the square bag was carried by anyone who was anyone. (yes - I had a black one)
But I'd sort of ignored the brand since then. I went through the phase - I've seen the bags at Nordstrom since - but I thought it had passed. Whoops.
The store was amazing. Super adorable displays on every wall, cute accessories piled up near the front door, and the most fabulous clothes I have seen in years. Since then I've been stalking the website and obsessing over the clothes when ever I see them.
Then the fabulousness continued when I saw the recaps from everyone who went to Alt Summit this year. Not only did Kate Spade host a fabulous looking party with the Girls with Glasses, but they totally copied my balloon idea for Pearl's birthday.
Now I'm beyond obsessed so I went to the website today to "window shop" and they have a line of NAUTICAL CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES FOR SPRING! What?? Can an obsession grown beyond obsessed? Am I verging on stalker? It's no secret that I love anything nautical and beach inspired. But this is getting ridiculous.
