If you're headed to the desert (and you should) you can be easily entertained for very little money. Swimming in the pool is free, margaritas are cheap, a modern driving tour is the cost of the map ($5 at the Visitor's Center), Sunnylands is open to the public to wander about the gardens, hotels have great restaurants and double as tour stops (like the Parker and the Saguaro), and margaritas are cheap. Did I already mention that?
Or you can stick a flamingo in the grass, fill the kiddie pool and pour yourself a homemade margarita. Either way, enjoy the day!
