Basement Project :: It's electric!

We have electricity!

We are so excited because we can now turn on the lights when we go down to the basement.  It's starting to feel real and to feel like we are getting so much closer to the end of the project.  Plus, this means the next step is DRYWALL!

While drywall is the nastiest, messiest part of the project, it's also what makes the space begin to feel real.  No longer can you walk through the stud spaces or move electrical boxes.  But you can start scheduling out tile guys and painters - otherwise known as 'finish work.'  That means we are finishing.

I can't wait to show you the space when it's done.  Don't worry - you'll see more updates as exciting things happen.  At least things I decide are exciting.

We also took out the wall that separated the stairs from the rest of the room.  Removing the wall opened up so much space, light, and have made it feel much more like 'part of the house.'
