Good Morning!

We are home - at last - from the hospital.  And we are over the moon with our new family addition.  Lars and Pearl can't stop holding him and beg for "their turn."  I am thrilled that he's a really good eater and sleeper and is a very content baby.

There is a ton going on this week outside of my little bubble - fruit is finally in season in the Northwest, which is really exciting.  Peaches, as you can tell, are the obsession of the week.  And berries are still hanging around.  They go beautifully with peaches and make a lovely fruit salad when mixed together.  Even my kids will eat it and we know they are picky eaters!  Keep checking back all week for what I have been doing (and continue to do) with peaches.  There are 1001 ways to use them so buy a big flat.

:: Oh Joy! posted a little collection of bright colors today.  I need some color injected into my wardrobe.  It seems like 99% of maternity clothes are black and the last few weeks it's been all I've been able to wear - which is a drag in August!  We have a wedding this weekend and I want to wear a color... but what?

:: Succulent plant in a takeout container.  Love.  From You are my Fave.  Not wild about the dumpster stuff... but easily re-created sans trash can...

:: Can you believe how fabulous these tomato tarts from Mint are?  PERFECT summer appetizer or - if made a bit larger - side dish.  I'm totally making these when ever my tomatoes decide to turn red.
