Good Morning!

Another fabulous summer weekend is behind us - including another wedding and a day spent on the lake.  We took Judson to the wedding, which has it's ups and downs.  Upside - I didn't have to race out to feed him every few hours.  Downside - he did not dig the band, who was really good, and we were stuck in a back room soothing him until he fell asleep and we snuck him back in by the band.

Today has taken a decidedly more fall like turn with colder weather and grey skies.  Today we'll be baking and hanging out at home to let my kids catch up on sleep - and me to catch up on everything else that's been piling up!

:: I was asked this weekend what a good gift for a new mom would be.  I love my earrings that are my children's birthstones - and since the question was about a woman having twins, earrings seemed appropriate (get it, one stone for each kid).  But this ring is amazing too!  Found via Cup of Jo


:: My mother-in-law has beets growing like crazy.  We get bags every week.  This cake seems like the perfect solution.  I could even take it to the party we are going to next weekend.
