Good morning

This morning I am off to my friend Matt's winery to join him in hosting a cocktail party we auctioned off last year.  I'm making the food and Matt is providing the wine and a the location.  I've been cooking for two days and I can't wait to see it all come together.  It's a little bit of everything from popcorn in a cone to take on the winery tour to a new recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Custard that's divine.

Back at the tasting room ::
- Cab Franc with tenderloin skewers
- Syrah with Polenta bites
- Chardonnay with Blue Cheese Apricots
- Riesling with Strawberry Rhubarb Custard

I  can't wait to share photos with you on Monday.  And next time we auction something off I'll let you know first because we'd love to see you in real life!  Want to know the best part of the weekend?  Mr. Hedin and I are not taking our children.  I'll be an adult who doesn't have to talk about when people go potty for 24 whole hours.

Monday is also the next Foodportunity.  Will I see you there?  I'll have part of a table selling my book and handing out recipe cards.  I'd love to meet you.  It's a great event for anyone who loves food.

If I can't see you there maybe I'll see you Saturday at Molbaks?  I'm speaking there around noon and showing some awesome recipes and crafts using fresh garden plants.  This is near and dear to my heart, so I hope you'll stop by.
