Our New House :: Green Floors!

I can't believe how long it took me to upload these photos!  But the floors in the living room are now green.  I am so thrilled with them.  Today we started moving in rugs, furniture and art.  It is going to look awesome.

Now I need to get some stuff reupholstered.  The green does not go with a few of my pieces...  Also, the fireplace has been cleaned.  It didn't get any prettier.  I think it's going to get painted.  But I needed to try cleaning first before jumping right into painting.  It's really hard to remove paint from stone.  

The next projects in this room are:

:: Building a mirror for the wall

:: Shelves!

:: Getting the rest of the furniture in the house

:: Figuring out what on earth goes above the fireplace...  seems like a star burst mirror is called for, but it also seems so cliche

:: Removing that dreadful chandelier.  Or what they call a chandelier.  We don't need a light here because we're not using this space as a dining room.  And who said you have to have a hanging light over the table??
