This idea has been knocking around in my mind for a while. A conversation today brought it to the fore front again. There is a major difference in blog styles from one blog to the next - but as you dig down deeper you can see one underlying difference - some blogs create their own content while others curate content.
Is there a right and a wrong?
Is it better to make your own crafts, create your own recipes, and take your own photos?
Or are there so many people on the internet doing that already that it's ok to find the "best of" and bring them together in one blog?
I know that I have a combination on my blog. Some days I am inspired by others and other days I post things that I (exclusively) have created.
I don't know if this only stops at blogs but it seems like blogs have made the question arise lately. I had the same conversation a few weeks ago with an interior designer. She works in the field, in peoples homes, creating designs and environments herself. She takes offense to bloggers who have no degree in design/ interiors yet are billed as design experts.
Am I guilty of that? Probably a little. Luckily my degree is in art, so feel I can blur the lines a little.
