Craft It :: Rose Lollipops

These are a great Valentine for kids to give to their classmates - with a little tag tied on the bottom.  They are incredibly simple to make and can be done by almost any school age kid.

You'll need
5 squares of tulle cut into 4 inch squares
Scissors
Lollipops
Floral tape

Step 1 :: Fold the tulle squares in half 3 times.
Step 2 :: Holding the point of the folds, cut an arc across the large top about 2 1/2 inches from the point.
Step 3 :: Nip a small piece of the point off - about 1/8 inch
Step 4 :: Unfold the tulle and place the lollipop through the hole in the center.
Step 5 :: Gather the tulle slightly to create a 'flower' look
Step 6 :: Adhere the base of the tulle to the stick of the lollipop using the floral tape.  Floral tape is only sticky when pulled.  So tug gently while wrapping around the tulle.
Step 7 :: Tie on a tag.

A note :: I understand that Dum Dums are manufactured in an allergy free facility.  I heard that from our allergist because my son has a terrible nut allergy and this is one candy I don't have to worry about.  So if your kids are at an allergy-free school, this is a great one to remember.
