Craft it :: Child's heart shirt

I was at Crew Cuts this weekend and saw a t-shirt with little pom poms on it.  It was not cute.  At all.  Truly.  But it had potential.  The idea had potential.

So I came home and figured out how to make a pom pom t-shirt for my kids for Valentine's Day this year that is actually really cute.  And really easy.  Since I already had all of the parts, it was really cheap too.  I used white shirts that were around the house - it seems like we have loads of them.  I am also looking at filling the inside of the hearts with glitter paint like Liz's glitter tie shirts.

These only took a few minutes to make once the shirts were clean.

You'll need
1 clean white shirt
Bag of colored pom poms
Large cookie cutter
Sharp pencil
Needle + thread

Step 1 :: Wash and iron the shirt
Step 2 :: Trace around the edges of the cookie cutter with the pencil to leave behind some graphite
Step 3 :: Press cookie cutter onto shirt exactly where you want to place the design.  The pencil should leave behind a pattern to trace
Step 4 :: Sew pom poms onto the outline using the needle and thread.

Step 4

Red tutu from the Gap!  Too cute for Valentine's Day
